Eitan Cher's Face Turning Rhombic Dodecahedron is the missing link between Matt's Rua and Toru. In the ebay decription for the FTRD he says:
"I designed this puzzle in SolidWorks, printed master parts on my university's rapid prototyper, made silicone molds out of Oomoo 30, and cast pieces in SmoothCast300 urethane plastic.
The stickers are laser-cut from CubeSmith.com vinyl sheets. The colors are: BLUE, GREEN, RED, ORANGE, BLACK, YELLOW, SILVER, GOLD, PURPLE, PINK, TEAL, and LIGHT BLUE.
This is a very difficult puzzle. I have made a second one, which I will keep, since I have yet to do a full solve. I will probably not sell the second one, so this would be a great addition to any collection of rare puzzles. The puzzle turns very well, though it sometimes has some minor lock-ups."
In the first instance I thought, the puzzle pieces were a little bit too loose and the puzzle is in danger of falling into pieces, I get more and more the impression, that Eitan did a really very good job here.
The stickers are laser cut (that's why the borders of the light coloured stickers are dark).
Also Eitan's logo is thin cut-out line from in the center sticker!
