Puzzle Details

Variation of the Gear Cube with four edges of a middle layer being without gears. This allows tirns of 90 degrees around this layer as long as the others are always turned around 180 degrees of course. As the original Gear Cube is not very complex to solve, this version should add a higher difficulty to the mechanism.

The mechanism works nicely as with the Gear Cube - better as the Shapeways original as the gears are rounded and the surfaces are perfectly flat.
