Super Square-1

Puzzle Details

Weight: 112g
Size: 5.5 x 5.5 x 5.5cm, layer height ca. 1.25cm

When I twisted the SS1 as it was delivered, immediately one half of the upper two layers fell apart. The reason was a screw holding this section of the mechanism, which was too long and hindered the pieces moving around. Thus the section fell out of the whole puzzle.

The vertical axis is held by another bigger screw with a spring, so this turning mechanism can be tuned. The overall movability is quite good, so it is a nice puzzle to play with. Anyway one has to get used to hold the center while turning the layers and to come to a exact alignment.
